Indigenous-Led/Allied Ethical Venture & Intergenerational Impact Investment Fund
Capital for Intergenerational Justice, Regeneration & Systemic Renewal
The SunMoonSeed Indigenous Nations Investment Fund is a core financial mechanism within the Foundation’s ecosystem, designed to redirect capital toward projects, organisations, and enterprises that actively contribute to intergenerational healing, Indigenous leadership, and planetary regeneration.
This unified initiative brings together open ethical grant making and Indigenous-led/allied impact venture investment into a single, transparent framework—ensuring that resources flow where they are most needed, most aligned, and most capable of generating long-term systemic benefit.
At its heart, the Fund exists to address the critical imbalances born from genocide, colonisation and atrocity: while frontline communities and ethical innovators carry the solutions to today’s crises, they are systematically excluded from access to capital. This project is designed to correct that imbalance with integrity, accountability and intergenerational vision.
Purpose
Purpose
To mobilise philanthropic, institutional and private/public capital in service of:
- Indigenous-led/allied solutions
- Ethical, regenerative enterprises
- Intergenerational health, wellbeing, justice and investment
- Long-term planetary and community resilience
A Unified Two-Pathway Model
- 1. Open Ethical Impact Grant Programme
The Foundation will operate year-round open grant applications, distributing smaller-scale funding to a wide range of aligned initiatives, including:
Â
- Grassroots organisations
- Community-led projects
- Research, education, healing and environmental initiatives
- Early-stage ethical startups and pilots
- Cultural, artistic and knowledge-preservation programmes
Funding is raised from major donors, foundations and institutional partners, then redistributed equitably to support many diverse, locally rooted solutions rather than concentrating resources in a small number of actors.
This pathway prioritises accessibility, inclusion and breadth of impact, ensuring that ethical work is not limited by geography, scale or institutional privilege.
- 2. Indigenous-Led/Allied Ethical Venture & Intergenerational Impact Investment Fund
Running in parallel, the Foundation supports Indigenous-led/allied and Indigenous-partnered startup initiatives through a deeply ethical, long-term investment model—similar in structure to venture capital, but fundamentally different in values.
Â
This pathway supports:
Â
- Indigenous-owned or Indigenous-governed enterprises
- Ethical startups addressing health, environment, education, culture, energy, food, art and technology
- Regenerative business models rooted in reciprocity, not extraction
- Enterprises aligned with long-term community wellbeing rather than short-term profit
Investment decisions are guided by intergenerational value creation, cultural integrity and planetary responsibility—recognising that true return on investment includes social, ecological and cultural outcomes alongside financial sustainability.

How This Project Serves the SunMoonSeed Ecosystem
As a central pillar within the Foundation:
- Enables all other projects to scale sustainably and ethically
- Provides financial continuity for Indigenous-led initiatives emerging from Epicentres, R&D Centres, Conferences, Policy making and Alliances
- Translates values, policy and vision into tangible economic support
- Builds a regenerative financial architecture aligned with Indigenous principles
- Demonstrates a viable alternative to extractive capital systems
This Fund acts as a living bridge between donors, institutions, communities and innovators, ensuring capital becomes a tool for healing rather than harm.
Why This Matters
Current global funding systems overwhelmingly favour scale, speed and short-term return—often at the expense of ethics, community wellbeing and planetary health.
Project 8 responds by offering a new financial paradigm, where:
- Capital is a servant to life, not its master
- Success is measured intergenerationally
- Indigenous leadership & Allies are central, not symbolic
- Innovation is guided by responsibility, not exploitation
A Regenerative Model of Shared Prosperity
Through this unified Ethical Impact & Indigenous-Led Innovation Fund, SunMoonSeed Foundation helps catalyse:
- A diversified, resilient ecosystem of ethical initiatives
- Long-term economic justice for Indigenous nations
- Trust-based relationships between donors, communities and enterprises
- A future where prosperity is shared, regenerative and accountable
